Story Totes ; For ages 18 months to 3 years old filled with books and activities. Totes may be checked out for two weeks, and may be renewed for one week if not on the reserve list. Parental supervision is strongly recommnded.
Kindergarten Readiness Kits and STEM Science Kits, 2 week check out

HOW TO GET A LIBRARY CARD
Come to the library, have identification that shows your name, current address, telephone or cell phone number. After filling out an application you will be issued a card with your barcode attached.
WHO MAY HAVE A LIBRARY CARD
Anyone living in the Jefferson Free Library District. Children are encouraged to have their own library cards, however, parents must sign their application. Anyone who does not reside in or own property in the Jefferson Free Library District must pay a $25.00 Annual fee to check out library materials. Seniors pay $10.00.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN OF BOOKS
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a way for our patrons to borrow books or get copies of articles that we do not own. We share resources with hundreds of libraries.
RECIPROCAL BORROWING WITH HEART OF THE VALLEY, ROBERTS, AND MENAN-ANNIS LIBRARIES
You may check out library materials at these libraries after filling out applications with them.

MEMORIAL BOOK SERVICE—
When a loved one has passed away, you can donate to the Hamer Library in the loved one’s memory. Just ask the librarian, she will be glad to explain the program to you.
